After a sleepless night It's finally ready to be shared. I've been using it myself for quite some time but never actually packaged it in a good way for other people to use it.

Fun fact: your mom can actually be very helpful as remote hands in that situation!Īnyway since most of my domains are currently in DigitalOcean and I wanted to learn some Golang in my spare time, I decided to write a small application that could automatically update the A records for my services. Losing access to the VPN because of a changed IP can be annoying, even more so when a disk failed in your zfs array and you want to quickly shutdown the server to hopefully save the data while you wait for an opportunity to replace the disk. I've spent the better part of 3 years travelling around the world (but the homelab has stayed in one place). Like most of us I run a few services in my homelab that are exposed to the outside and like most of us I've ran into the issue of the dreaded dynamic IP.
